People laugh and roll their eyes when I say I’m a witch and have been for 20 years. They think it’s cute and madcap.

They think I’m over-reacting when I say things like

“Moving Halloween just because its on a Sunday is like moving Christmas because its on a Sunday”

or

“The politician loudly denying being a witch is like those politicians who used to deny being Catholic or Jewish”.

Witchcraft/Wicca is is recognized by the U.S. government as a valid religious belief. Yet even in America it’s practicioners continue to be  violently discriminated against. All around the world, hate crimes and murder are committed against those suspected of being a witch.

Where is your righteous indignation?

There are of course hate crimes all around the world for members of almost any religion, but this doesn’t mean your point isn’t valid, anyone should be able to practice their belief, no matter what it is (as long as its no harm to other folk of course). In my world there is no place for religious bigotry, or bigotry of any kind actually.
